The Porto Palermo Festival, a cultural event organized by the renowned artist Olen Cesari, has returned this year, bringing life to the walls of Ali Pasha Tepelena’s Castle. For over two weeks, from August 1 to 18, this castle, with its rich and valuable history for Albania, transformed into a stage for some of the most famous Albanian and international artists. The lineup included performers such as Inva Mula, Marsela Çibukaj, Vitmar Basha, Elina Duni, Dren Abazi, Mathew Marston, Lavina Mancusi, Blue Bird Band, and many others.
The Mane Foundation and Green Coast, among other activities promoting Albanian art and culture, supported the Porto Palermo Festival. This festival is highly regarded as Albania’s “passport”, bringing together prominent artists to showcase Albanian culture and values through music on the global stage.
Olen Cesari furthered his promotion of Albanian art by organizing the Porto Palermo Outdoor Festival. The event took place over the weekend in the town square of Himara and drew many fans of both classical and modern music. The concert, organized by the Himara Municipality and supported by Mane Foundation and Green Coast, showcased the music, culture, and traditions of the area, promoting them to both local and international tourists.
The activities not only promoted culture and music but also emphasized the importance of environmental protection. Mane Foundation and Green Coast have responded to this call by organizing and supporting various activities. Along with students, educators, organizations, businesses, and volunteer groups, Mane Foundation and Green Coast have joined the message “Let’s Protect Our Sea” with dedication, reminding us that beaches, natural resources, historical and cultural heritage sites should be protected collectively as a civic responsibility.
